My iPhone connects to my computer but not to my iTunes

My iPhone connects to my computer but not to my iTunes and when I run diagnostics on iTunes it says it's unable to find a device...
This has happened ever since I allowed it to automatically upload images and videos from my phone to my laptop when connected so I'm not sure if that's linked?

I wasn't sure if it was the cable either as I will probably need a new one but like I said, it connects to my laptop anyway
